As we are totally self-funded, we’re building the Food Forest hectare by hectare.

Our goal for this first year is 2 Hectares.

This donation would fund the establishment of one full hectare, which includes the irrigation, all the trees and the plant material, the labour, and the upkeep.

We are in need of a 10000 litre Water-tank to supply the local community with water close to their homes.

As it is we are already providing clean drinking water but they still have to walk a huge distance to get their water with us and then carry (usually 25 litre +) all the way to their houses.

This water tank would enable us to bring the water much closer and accessible.

Currently we have no power on site, which makes things very difficult. To power our tools we use a petrol engine. The exception is our water pump that we run with solar.

It is quite romantic to stay in the wilderness like this just enjoying nature and doing everything with fire and petroleum lamps.

But the upgrade to solar power is our highest priority at the moment so that we can set up the project and training centre properly.

Our main goal for the project is to create a Training Centre, so we can share this knowledge with the locals and provide all the material they need to create food security for themselves and their families.

This would change the lives of so many people who are currently struggling.

An area designated to harvesting, packing and cooling is essential for the project.

We plan to provide fresh, organic, diverse foods all across the country - it needs to be handled professionally with enough space for our large continual harvests.

What this donation would create is a infrastructure for a Harvest Area, Storage Space, and a Cool Room.

Whilst camping is fun for some people, we’d love to build a comfortable space for people to come see the project and enjoy the wild nature too.

At the moment, our visitors stay in accommodation nearby.

The aim is to have a few luxury safari bungalows by the river, and you could sponsor our first one.

We are starting out with a small budget and only the most essential tools. From hand-pushed seeders to chainsaws, power-tools, shovels and more.

Donating this would give us the opportunity to upgrade our workshop and have the right tools for each job.

Tools like hand pushed seeder don't need expensive diesel and will be a game changer for rural Africa.

This is a high priority item for us as we would like to offer free courses on how to use it in the local context.

Filming videos of the project as it develops and sharing this information with people all over the world would help make this sustainable practice common knowledge, helping the planet dramatically.

Right now we’re trying to film bits with our iPhone’s - that’s the only camera equipment we have.

We’ll be starting a YouTube channel, but some basic equipment is needed.

Alternatively, please let us know if you any second-hand equipment available!
